Mrs. Kathryn Corbett, Director

_My name is Kathryn Corbett and I am the Director of Providence Montessori Christian School.  I am a native of Richmond and graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. in political science and English. I enjoyed a business career at Overnite Transporation Company as a contract supervisor, but felt God calling me to the educational mission field.  After getting my Masters of Teaching Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, I taught English at Deep Run High School.

Excited to participate in the opening of Providence Montessori Christian School at Eternity Church, I became certified to teach Montessori students ages 6-9.  Currently I am in training to become a catechist in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd curriculum.

My husband Jeff, our two daughters Lindsay and Allison, our two cats, Noel and Lily, and I reside in Richmond.  In my spare time I enjoy running, biking, swimming, and baking.

I am dedicated to God’s call to encourage children in their natural gifts while giving the students the love and support they need to fulfill the purpose God has for them.

Mrs. Mary Jones, Primary Teacher

My name is Mary Jones and I teach the 3-6 year old Primary class at Providence.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and am American Montessori Society certified to teach 3-6 year old students.

Before joining Providence Montessori Christian School I taught students at other Montessori schools and then had my own in-home Montessori school. Zoning regulations changed and sadly my school had to close.  God then led me to teach at PMCS.

My husband, our daughter and I reside on a farm just outside of Richmond. I am an avid gardener and musician and love bringing these talents to the students.  It is going to be a great year at Providence and I am so blessed to be a part of the students' lives!
